Every time I’ve purchased a vehicle the question of my Trade-in comes up. According to their (the dealer) book, if it has high mileage it automatically is worth substantially less value. So I sell them on my own. Recently I’ve been looking for a good used truck and the asking prices are outrageously high, even for trucks with over 100,000+ miles. So they have a double-standard. Glad to see they’re getting a reality check.
I saw a BMW lease ad for a 2023 X5. They want $8500 down and $899 a month. 🤣🤣 They must be crazy. And it’s a 36 month lease. Only an idiot would take that deal. If I have $8500 i’m putting it toward a house.
I’ve been driving the same 97 Tahoe since 2000 when I bought it. Can’t imagine a car payment when my truck still runs perfectly fine. Sure, it’s ugly, but I’m a function over fashion kind of guy.
I’m a niche dealer and I sell unique cars that are completely detailed and stored in my warehouse. My cars sell usually for less then 12k and I don’t see a huge change in my market. But to date I’ve never bought a car at a dealer auction because they have too many issues.
This should be qualified. The newer used cars are not selling! At some point people are not paying your markups
