Palpatine is such a poorly written character. They just make him OP. its lazy.
I never accept 7-9 Star Wars, only 1-6 my head canon.
He doesn’t feel pain, unless by his own lightning.
Also this kinda makes a gaping plot hole, Vader was aware of this fleet of star destroyers with mini death Star lasers and just forgot to bring this up to Luke after he became a force ghost….and they show up in EP 9 and nobody had a clue?
Personally I think Palpatine used Darrh Vader as a pain magnet for himself.
